Meiji Industries ("we", "us") is incorporated in Ontario, Canada. This policy describes how Meiji Sampler collects and uses your information.

What We Collect

When you visit our website:

• Anonymous device identifier (random UUID stored in your browser)
• UTM parameters (how you found us)
• Email address, if you provide it to download the app

When you use the desktop app:

• Email address (provided during login)
• Anonymous usage events (features used, never file paths, sample content, or audio data)

Why We Collect It

• Account authentication
• Delivering the app to you
• Understanding which features are used so we can improve the product

Third Parties

We use the following services to operate Meiji Sampler:

• PostHog — product analytics
• Google Analytics — website conversion tracking
• Resend — transactional email delivery

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any other third parties.

Your Controls

• Opt out of analytics: In the desktop app, go to Settings and disable Analytics
• Delete your data: Contact us and we will delete your account and associated data
• Access your data: Contact us and we will provide a copy of the personal information we hold about you

Data Retention

• Analytics events: up to 7 years
• Website analytics: 14 months
• Login tokens: 30 days (auto-deleted)

Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS. Authentication uses signed tokens. We do not store passwords.

Children

Meiji Sampler is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy. Continued use of Meiji Sampler after changes constitutes acceptance.
